Day 4- Chata Tubilla Diet
Hello0o0o people! Well, I think I am doing good. On the first day I did good up until Diner time I ate rice and means with fried pork chop. Bad, I know. Plus I had Moscato that night. I woke up a little hung over so i had crackers (salt less) with Gator aid. Then for lunch I had McDonald's grilled snack wrap and 10 pc chicken nuggets; which by the way was nasty ass hell. Day three was a success and I feel today will be good also. I'm on Day four and still adjusting to the meal plan. I am hungry in the mornings because I'm used to having a well balanced breakfast. Just eating oranges isn't cutting it for me lol, but I will try my best to continue on that path. Also, I've found that although this diet has its specifics you can eat something different everyday. For example, for lunch one day I had an oven baked steak with steamed carrots, a slice of whole wheat bread and a side salad. Another day I had tuna with a slice of whole wheat bread, raw carrots, and a salad. I stick to the orange and apple routine, but just know you can mix things up. You can even have a wrap for lunch if you make it with all the requirements; like you can do a whole wheat peta with lettuce tuna and sliced carrots or even a chicken wrap with lettuce and pumpkin mash! mmmm!! Yummy! Speaking of pumpkin mash its simple, just boil the pumpkin for a few minutes until its soft. Then, add a dash of black pepper, dash of sea salt, and a teaspoon of butter. It's so good. This works out perfect for me because it calms my cravings for sweets. I think I need a cheat meal so on Sunday morning I am cheating with my breakfast! I'll keep it as healthy as I can. If you friend me on www.myfitnesspal.com you can actually follow everything I eat on there. I also have a Twitter account, so follow me: @iceybitz. :) Moving forward with the working out. I had an awesome workout yesterday I did an hour of Zumba. It was a really good workout I recommend it to all! Please subscribe to my blog, follow me on Twitter, and comment. Thanks!

I'm going to be starting this one next week when I go grocery shopping. Who wants to try it with me?
You're supposed to lose 10-15 lbs in 20 days. This is the one I did for my pictures.
Breakfast- 2 oranges (split into four pieces), coffee or tea
Lunch- meat, chicken, or fish (grilled), carrots or pumpkins (steamed or raw), 1 slice of whole wheat bread, 1 apple
Afternoon snack: 1 fruit (avoid bananas and mangos)
Diner- a lean protein (grilled) [note: alternate proteins if you had chicken for lunch have fish for diner, etc], 1 apple or sugar free jello
Good luck!

New site...
So, first things first let me update you. I am currently at 250 lbs! Yes you read it correctly. How did I gain it back? Simple. I was not working out and I was eating sweets again. So, now I have to start all over again. I was 252 when I noticed I gained it back. Sine then i have lost 2lbs and 2.5 inches; and that was last month. I am truly going to step up my game this month. I did start working out in May and started the gym in June. I was doing 30 minute workouts 3 times a week. Now, I'd like to do 45 minutes 3 times a week. I always try to do more, but that is my goal. I found an old book in Spanish (Dietas y Recetas de Maria Antonieta) and found it very useful. I did a diet when I was getting ready to take my quince anera pictures and lost 15 lbs in a month. I am definitely going to update my meal plan to that diet. So look out for that. It even has detox diets, because we all know the other ones didn't work out so well for me lol. I'll also post the detox diets as well as new recipes and stuff. In addition, I did my yearly physical and all my labs were perfect. This is definitely a motivation to drop the weight before I encounter any serious health issues. We have to remember the reasons why we took this step to lose weight and that should help keep us grounded. So, on to the new stuff. My friend Lee told me about a website that allows you to track your food, exercise, and water. It's great! You can meet others that are trying to lose weight just like you! I find it helpful because although your family supports your efforts towards weight loss they sometimes don't understand the things you go through. They don't understand that you are making a life changing commitment to better yourself. They don't understand what took you so long to start. They don't understand the bumps in the road. They don't understand your struggle. If you didn't have all those things to deal with then you wouldn't be over weight now would you? This place has a lot of helpful things, so go check it out: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/

Detox failure
Negative! I tried to do the one day water detox and failed! I skipped breakfast and my first snack and drank a lot of water, but by lunch time I couldn't take it anymore. I ate a tuna melt from Bagel Emporium by my job and then for diner I made a pork chop in the oven with bar-b-q sauce, steamed green beans and avacado with a drizzle of olive oil. Atleast I kept it healthy. If youcan manage to do the whole day..more power to you. I also tried to do the 3 day fruit and veggie detox and failed. I did good all day at work actually. I had a greek Chobani pineapple yogurt for breakfast, then half of a banana for snack, tomatoes, celery, and carrots for another snack, trail mix for lunch, and a pear for a snack. then, after work i shared a philly cheese steak with my sister and ate an oatmeal pie!!! Disaster! This proves even more that these quick fixes DO NOT work! I am sticking to my eating healthier, dense, nutritional foods and everything else I've been doing. I guess I will just have to wait until I can go and do my seaweed body wrap for detoxing. If you can do it that's great, but I am just sharing that it did not go so well for me.

Crunch Time!
Happy April Fool's Day, hope no one took you for a fool lol. I recognize that I have NOT been bringing my A game and it's time to step it up (especially because I am going to Vegas in 2 weeks!!!). i have a plan for the month and a new Goal for the month. I want to lose 20 lbs. this month. I know it seems impossible, but it's not because I have done it before. View my calendar and plans. Hopefully this works. Let's see. I usually try things and then write about it, but this is an emergency. I am going to do water detox once a week, I am going to do hydrotherapy this weekend, and I am going to workout for at least 30 minutes EVERYDAY. 20 lbs in 30 days is not bad at all. I did involve myself in more activities since I last wrote. I started brooming the house every other day, cleaning the entire house once a week, taking out the garbage (instead of making my brother do it, lol), and taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator. Nothing major just simple additions. I also play the Wii more with my family :) I have not weighed myself, but I will tomorrow. I still have 2 weeks to reach my goal of 220 lbs. I am going to log my weight and measurements every Saturday and keep a log on the right side. I have been working out, but not 2-5 days a week. However, like I said that will change ASAP. I am more anxious than I was last month lol, but I am working on it. I still want to eat when I am sad or upset, but I don't do it. :) Like I planned I made a detox plan for myself. OK, tough part...I wasn't able to cut out sweets, but I definitely am as of today. I only ate something fried twice since I last wrote and rice only 3 times. I'm not perfect, but I am on track.

The Beautiful Truth
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, & Happy Valentine's Day!!! It's been so long!!! well, let me update you on my goals since November. I didnt make it to 220lbs., but I made it pretty close at 227lbs :) I stopped working out sometime in December, but I'm back on my A-game now. I purchased a Wii and I do the Just Dance 2 game, which has a lot of different songs to dance to.I plan on buying the Zumba game, that should be interesting. Also, I didn't gain any weight during the holiday season (which was great!). Well, on to the subject at hand. I saw this amazing documentary called The Beautiful Truth and I absolutly loved it. I reccomend you all watch it. That film talked a lot about the Gerson Therapy, which consists of several healthy habits and can even cure cancer! As far as I have been able to read and research this way of like consists of eating healthy. This means no processed food, no sugar or salt, organics, juicing, and a coffee enema. Yup, it's exactly what you read a coffee enema! It's kind of like a colonic but of coffee. Strange, I know. If I get the guts I might just do it. The Gerson Therapy has a website with more information if you are interested in learnign more. I have also been looking into natural detox methods. Probably in two weeks I will start my detox. For one day you drink ONLY mineral water. For the next 3-7 days (as long as you can keep it up) you only eat/drink natural, organic frutis and veggies. After that you can also drink green tea regularly and practice hydrotherapy ever now and then (google it). Also, it's going to be about a year since I did my seaweed body detox so I am going back for that. Detoxing helps in so many ways. You are basically cleaning out your system. I've talked about this before and all the benefits of it. Your skin will be clear and smooth, your immune system improves, you sweat easier, and loose weight and inches faster. I also saw another documentary called Obesity, Killer at large (or something like that). You should all watch that too. It's crazy how so many different things play a role in everyone's nutritional habits. You need to fix the problem, becasue no matter what anyone says being overweight is a problem. There are so many factors that contribute to a persons weight loss and gain. In many cases you just like to eat and you eat a lot right? Wrong. People will tell you that, but more than likely there's another reason behind it. maybe it's because you're stressed out or depressed so you eat more (some people eat less). Also, it can be a cultural issue because a lot of hispanic people..we are used to eating rice everyday. We also fry a lot of foods and eat a lot of paatelitos. Also, you could be anxious, you have so much to do that you're eting fast food all day, your portions are too big, you eat too many processed foods, you don't know when you're full already, etc. My point is find out what makes you over eat. Once you find that out you can work on ways to minimize the problem or fix it altogether. I know that I personally over eat if I have spent too much time without eating, if im sad, stressed, or anxious. I know all of that play a part in my weight, but it's up to me to change that. I'm working on keeping my eating scheduale, and doing something other than eat when I feel down. it's not easy, but it's not impossible. I want everyone to continue with me on this journey with me. If you have stories of your own you can comment and share. I have new goals so check those out and set some goals of your own. Remember to start small and simple and you will do great and feel a sense of achievement. Although I haven't blogged in a while I have tons of information to share. So, til next time...
